Netscape created it, IE 3(?) copied it (because it was a great idea) and all modern browsers have slowly dropped support or never implemented it. I received amessage that Picassa was compacting files to save space and lost all files of pictures except the most recent ones taken this year. Where did they go? At the moment I feel that I have to go to some other picture management, and would not recomend Picassa to anyone any more, if I cannot recover my pictures lost by Picassa today.
